Always helpful and go out of their way to find what you are looking for. They have held products for me via phone two times for me in the past month and even during the chaotic holiday rush it has been easy and I end up leaving with more than what I came for. They are always friendly and upbeat. These are really good things that stand out coming from someone who has 12+ years of retail under her belt. We love Disney!!
I'm at the Disney store today purchasing a gift. It's my turn to check out. I walk up to the cashier and set my item down. The cashier looks at me, and without even saying hello or anything, gets on her walky talky, looks right at me, and says "We have a full belly" in her walky talky. Loud enough for everyone to hear. At this moment, I'm thinking, um thats weird...do I get something for the baby? Like a little free gift? No words have been exchanged, so I'm thinking she's just assuming I'm pregnant which I clearly am, but you can never just assume these things because it's rude. Anyway, another employee comes up to the counter and just stands there. I pay for my item and start to walk away, still puzzled she said that. The 2nd employee walks directly behind me until I get to the door and then as I leave says, have a magical day!! Yeaah....the only thing I think is that's their procedure if they suspect someone is stealing. Ridiculous! Be a little more obvious next time. Ugh. This was the one in the outlet mall. I will order my Disney products online from here on out. I don't need to be humiliated when I go shopping, thanks.
The staff doesn't seem well informed of specials. I inquired about a limited edition bag coming out on January 28. They had a sign hanging up in the store. I asked a cast member how much was the backpack and she said $39. Didn't care to inform me it was a one day thing that you had to sign up for and a small amount was sold. I planned to come in later in this afternoon to buy one until I saw a Facebook post about someone being the last one to get the bag... at noon... not very magical, cast members.
