I actually did find a better deal. Mattress Source had a very similar bed which I felt was more comfortable than the one at The Bedroom Store, and it was only about 80% of the cost. I saved about 20% and was treated with respect.
Was on the hunt for a new mattress not really knowing what I wanted just knowing I needed a new one. I went to a couple different stores before I ended up at The Bedroom Store. My first impression was great! The store was clean, organized and very welcoming. I was met with the store manager walking in wanting to help any way he could. Not knowing what I wanted he asked questions and showed me a couple different types of mattresses. He spent a lot of time with me, very patient, and I was pleased with with the help and my new mattress!! I would definitely recommend The Bedroom Store to anyone looking for wonderful salesmen that know what they are talking about and are willing to help in anyway!
My husband and I recently bought our new mattress from the Bedroom Store at Taubman. The showroom is large, bright, clean and stocked with a huge variety of mattresses. It's usually easy to get overwhelmed when trying to choose a mattress but luckily Tim, the sales associate that helped us, was extremely knowledgable on everything from adjustable bases to mattresses, even down to pillows. We did a mattress diagnostic which helped us figure out what type of firmness we'd like in our mattress and Tim pointed out a few in our price point. The price range there allows people with any budget to find a bed that they'll be very happy with. Ray, the manager, took care of our purchase and payment transaction quickly and helped us load up our new mattress into our truck. We ended up getting a great memory foam that we've been so pleased with. Overall, we had a great experience at the Bedroom Store and recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a new mattress or bedroom furniture.
Went in with cash-in-hand to buy a King size mattress. Was looking around with my husband and we were approached by a salesman. He asked if he could help us and we told him that we were looking but we'd let him know as soon as we wanted to chat about one. He rolled his eyes and told us, "I know what you want." 90% annoyed and 10% skeptical, we replied, "Oh?" and he proceeded to bring us over to a spring-coiled mattress that we definitely did not want. We then told him we were looking at the foam mattresses and would prefer one of those. His reply was, "This one is a pillow-top." At this point I was 95% aggravated and said, "We have been looking at mattresses for a while now, and we know what we want. We're going back over to the few we had in mind now. Thank you." He literally blocked our way and asked why we wanted a foam mattress over this queen sized coiled one. I was not going to give this salesman any reasoning. The fact that I wanted something that cost twice as much as what he was trying to sell me was frustrating enough - why didn't he want me to spend more money? And what business of his is it as to why I want a foam mattress over a regular one? When I finally got him to go over to the two mattresses I couldn't quite choose between, he kept contradicting everything I was saying about why I wanted a foam mattress. We turned away and walked right out of the store after about ten minutes of his sales pitch for the original bed he tried selling us. When he asked why we were leaving, I told him: "Because you are cutting me off while I'm speaking, you're rude, and disrespectful. I'm going elsewhere where I will be treated with respect." His reply was, "Good luck finding a better deal."
